seriously? thats mindbogglingly brilliant!

but yeah, also remember that Atkins himself was obese, and is already dead, NOT from natural causes. i aint sayin it was the fat that killed him... but his 'diet' certainly was helping his obesity...

I saw a dude on TV the other night that was suing the Atkins people because although he did lose weight, his cholesterol was insanely high and he almost died. And he was a skinny dude too.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If you stay on the Atkins diet (sticking to it religiously) for more than 2 weeks, you're asking for trouble. I think his book even said that.

I don't know the details about the guy I saw but I do know that he's the first person to sue the Atkins people.

yeah, the details are very specific in the book

the book also tells you what will happen if you dont follow exactly -- well, not really what exactly will happen, but it basically says the diet will not work properly if you dont follow them right.

you're supposed to start off eating one way, which tends to take off a good amount of weight in a quick time. then you gradually change, and eat more and more, getting healthier, and slowly loose more weight, if needed. People today like the large amount coming of first, so they decide, 'oh, ill just stick to this plan', which the book says not to do, and they end up screwing themselves.

As Lewis Black said on broadway

" You dunno what to fuck eat anymore! Milk is good for you but milk is bad for you! It gives you cancers! But it healthy for you! WTF?"

I know it not the exact quote, but i cannot rememeber it.

It's all just a pile of horseshit.

People have to learn that all they have to do is eat less and excercise. That's it. All these assholes are running around counting shit, and taking pills, and cutting shit out........

You can eat whatever you want, as long as you're not eating a trough full of it, and as long as you also walk or run around a bit and lift some weights.

And when I say "eat whatever you want" I'm talking about the carbs/protein bullshit.....I'm not saying that you can eat fries and chocolate for every meal, and expect to end up healthy. But, then again, that's a huge problem too.....people need to learn to stop eating fucking fries and chocolate all the goddamn time, and eat some real food.
